Adding Annotations to Documents

To add annotations to a document in a vault that uses annotations and redlining:

  1. Select a document in the listing area.
  2. At the top of the preview area, select Edit.
  3. Optional: When you add annotations to the document for the first time:
    1. Use the refresh command of your browser.
      Result:Your annotation object is added to the document's related objects in the listing area.
      Note: A document can only have one annotation object for each user.
    2. Select the same document that you selected in step 1.
    3. Repeat step 2.
  4. Use the annotation controls at the top of the preview to add annotations.
    Your changes are automatically saved.
  5. Expand the related objects of the document that you selected in step 1 to see your annotation object.
  6. Right-click the annotation object.
  7. Click Check in.
