Setting Up Web and Mobile Access to M-Files
This section tells you how to get access to the classic M-Files Web and M-Files Mobile.
To get access to:
- The new M-Files Web in an on-premises environment, refer to Setting Up the Backend for the New M-Files Web and Web-Based Add-Ins.
- The new M-Files Web in an M-Files cloud environment, write to our customer support at [email protected].
- The classic M-Files Web, follow the instructions in this section.
- M-Files Mobile, follow the instructions in this section.
For users to get access to your organization's on-premises vaults with a mobile device, configure the access to the classic M-Files Web because it is the connection point for the mobile apps with its M-Files Web Service REST API services. In cloud-based deployments, you can use mobile apps without any configuration.
Tip: Administrators can create links to help the end users' vault connection
process for mobile devices. The end user only has to open the link with their mobile
device and write their username and password. After a successful connection, the vault
connection information is saved to the device. For more details and examples, see the
document M-Files URL
Properties.
