You can save any file type to M-Files and tag the documents directly to related Salesforce CRM records. For instance, if you have just added a new account in Salesforce CRM, it is automatically replicated in M-Files and can be tagged to any document as a property of that document!
You can also view the details of Salesforce CRM records directly in M-Files without having to launch the Salesforce CRM to check, for example, the address of your account or the price of the product you are about to quote.
Access your Documents from the Salesforce CRM Interface!
You can also access the M-Files document vault directly from the Salesforce CRM interface. Just select the customer, lead or other record in Salesforce CRM and click the Show Documents button!
New documents can be saved directly to M-Files via the Salesforce CRM interface as well. It is also possible to use your favorite Word or Excel document templates and include dynamic content right from Salesforce CRM records, such as a contact name or address when creating a letter or proposal.

Automatic Version History
M-Files automatically maintains version history every time a document is changed, maintaining an auditable trail of changes from the time a document is created up to its final released version. This is critical for compliance with standards and regulations like HIPAA in the medical space, ISO 9000/9001 in manufacturing, and Sarbanes-Oxley in finance and accounting.
M-Files version history is automatic, there's nothing you have to do. You can instantly retrieve any previous version at any time to see what was changed, or roll back to an old version if you choose. M-Files efficiently stores versions: no matter how large a file is, only the changes between versions are saved, so storage space is used efficiently and vault searches remain fast.
Secure – never worry about losing data again
Secure Access Permissions: Hide sensitive documents from unauthorized access, or allow some users to view documents while others can change them. Permissions can be set per document.

No Accidental Deletion: Documents can never be accidentally deleted. If a user deletes a file it can always be quickly and easily recovered by "undeleting" the file.
Check-in / Check-out: Ensure that changes to a document won't be overwritten by others. When someone checks out a document others can only view or work on a copy of the document until it is checked back in.
Regular backups: All your documents with version history, metadata and audit trail are backed up on a regular basis.
Offline Use – access your documents even without an Internet connection
You can access documents even if you don't have access to an Internet connection, such as when traveling, or if your office network goes down. Just set any document or group of documents for offline availability and you always have access to them.
You can also create and modify Salesforce CRM records in offline mode too! Add new leads and accounts and tag documents to them when travelling. When you connect to the network, the records are automatically synchronized with Salesforce CRM and the documents are securely saved to M-Files Document Vault!
