Chairman and Chief Technology Officer

Antti Nivala is Chairman of the Board and Chief Technology Officer at M-Files and a respected software industry veteran with 20-year experience. He created M-Files' first software product, M-Color, in the early 1990's. The product earned the company millions of dollars in revenue and provided the early funding for M-Files' new flagship product, the M-Files document management software. He conceived and co-created M-Files and continues to lead the development of the product, in addition to managing the rapid and profitable growth of the business. Recently, M-Files has been awarded by leading industry analysts such as Deloitte and Red Herring as one of the world's most innovative and fastest-growing technology companies. Besides M-Files, Antti has worked at Nokia Corporation. He holds a Master's degree in software engineering.

Chief Executive Officer

Miika Mäkitalo is Chief Executive Officer and has the responsibility for ensuring the strategy, goals, targets and plans are carried out within the organization. In addition, he manages finance, administration, legal affair and human resource activities for M-Files. Prior to M-Files, Miika has been working in the Government of Finland and in Governmental Agencies for ten years, mostly in top management. Most recently, Miika served as Transport Director in the Finnish Transport Agency, having responsibility e.g. on large national IT systems and projects, creating and executing several strategies and processes, and running an annual budget of close to $100 million. Before joining the Transport Agency, he was head of department in the Finnish Rail Administration having the responsibility of strategic and long-term planning and operational transport services. Miika has a PhD in industrial engineering and management.

President, M-Files Inc.

As President of M-Files Inc., Greg Milliken manages the North American operations of M-Files, in addition to having responsibility for the worldwide marketing efforts of the company. Greg brings 20 years of management experience in a variety of software and hardware technology companies focused on bringing formerly inaccessible technology to mainstream markets. Most recently, Greg served as CEO of Alibre, Inc., an innovative vendor of 3D CAD/CAM software. Before that Greg was Vice President of Marketing for Knowledge Revolution, an engineering software vendor acquired by MSC Software in 1999. Prior to Knowledge Revolution, Greg was a co-founder of AccelGraphics, a provider of 3D graphics hardware that grew to IPO in three years, achieving the distinction of being the 8th fastest growing public company in Silicon Valley in 1997. Greg holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering.

Senior Vice President, Microsoft Global Relationships

Dr. Petri I. Salonen is Senior Vice President of Microsoft Global Relationships at M-Files. Petri is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of TELLUS International Inc., a US-based company that provides strategy consulting, research and internationalization services for companies wanting to boost their international business. Before founding TELLUS, he served as CEO of InfoManager Corporation, a leading global business intelligence, and analytics software vendor. He has also been Global President for IAMCP, International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners. At the moment, Petri is also Chairman of the Board at Sininen Meteoriitti, a leading Microsoft SharePoint provider in Finland. Petri holds a PhD in Information Systems Science, and his thesis was titled as "Evaluation of a Product Platform Strategy for Analytical Application Software".

Vice President of Sales

Janne Romppanen is Vice President of Sales with a solid track record of managing sales. He has more than 10-year sales expertise in software industry, and at M-Files he has been responsible for creating strategies and processes for sales. In Finland, Janne has built and trained New Customer Sales team, and his sales team has been successful and outperformed growth targets. Janne and his team have accelerated customer acquisition and have sold M-Files to more than 300 organizations in Finland. Janne have had also a great contribution in building and increasing channel sales. For the last year, Janne has been managing direct sales in the US. Janne holds a Master's degree in software engineering, which provides him a strong technical background to support individuals in company's sales organization.

Vice President of Channel Sales

As Vice President of Channel Sales at M-Files Inc., Scott manages the M-Files Partner Program consisting of a network of technology partners, solution providers, and value-added resellers (VARs) throughout the world. Scott brings over 10 years of experience in sales management roles in the software industry and is an entrepreneurial leader with a proven record of driving revenue growth and success in global B2B and channel sales. Prior to M-Files, Scott served as VP of Sales of Alibre, Inc. a 3D CAD/CAM software vendor, where he was responsible for guiding both direct and indirect sales efforts worldwide and grew the partner network from its infancy to well over 100 partners.

Vice President, Sales and Services Finland

As Vice President of Sales and Services, Jussi Salmi has the responsibility for all after sales activities and services. Jussi brings more than 10 years of software, management and operations experience to M-Files. At the company, in the beginning, he had a strong input for the developing the M-Files product, but now all his efforts are in developing the service business. In the last six years, Jussi has managed numerous large EDMS deployment projects, and he has a strong understanding of the business processes. Over the last five-year period, the service business has grown more than 50% p.a. making it a very important part of the company's business. In addition to M-Files, Jussi has worked at Nokia Corporation. Jussi has a Master's degree in a combination of automation technology and software engineering.
