eCopy Connector for M-Files

Whether it is processing faxed purchase orders, hard copies of shipping receipts, legal forms requiring signatures, or any of a variety of other common examples, managing paper documents is a critical part of business for many organizations. M-Files provides multiple ways to automate the process of converting paper documents into electronic form, such as a PDF file or bitmap image, and then depositing it into an M-Files vault and categorizing it with descriptive properties or "metadata" so it can be efficiently located, tracked and, if necessary, linked to other related documents. For instance, linking a scanned image of a receipt to the searchable text document generated with optical character recognition (OCR) software during the scanning process.

In addition, to M-Files built-in capabilities for managing paper documents, we now have an integrated solution with the premier solution on the market: eCopy. The new M-Files eCopy Connector, seamlessly integrates M-Files with the popular eCopy ShareScan and ScanStation solution to allow scanned documents to be saved in M-Files with associated metadata in one step during the scanning phase, right at the multi-function scanner/printer/copier/fax (MFP). The M-Files metadata card is directly and immediately visible right at the MFP's display or touch screen. ID-recognition is also supported so that a signed contract can be automatically attached an original contract template saved in M-Files based identification of the contract's signature. eCopy also supports a host of other useful features including touchup of scanned documents, bar code support, and more.
